Life is Sometimes Too Short

Today was the funeral for the trainer on my sons team. This was a 28 year old man with a bright future ahead of him. He was well liked by the kids and a LOT of friends. The lineup for visitation was a 2 hour wait, so you know he was a popular person.

Nick was at his parents home and fell down a few stairs on Saturday, here one moment and gone the next. Tragic, unexpected and hard to explain.

The kids (13 and 14 year olds) came to the realization that you can be here one day and gone the next, life is something to treasure, enjoy and live to its fullest, don't hold back, because you never know when your time is up.

Nick will be missed by his family, friends, acquaintances and the kids on the team. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family.

20th Anniversary

Well, I have been thinking about setting up a Blog for a few years and I finally did it!

God knows I sometimes have too much to say, sometimes stick my foot in my mouth and occasionally have something worthy to say, but I enjoy writing and sometimes creating controversay with my opinions, but hey, they are mine and mine alone, so I stand by them.

This is the perfect time to begin our new Blog as we enter our 20th anniversary year with Puckstoppers. There are very few hockey or goalie schools on the planet that can claim to have 20 years of experience behind them, in fact we are now in the top 5% of schools in the world for longevity. That IS something to say and be proud of.

I'll try to update this Blog at least once a week, so until next time.....
